I write a newsletter that I call "The Long Middle," an attempt to tease out some understanding of this challenging middle part. Your piece - and the above quote - is helping me zoom out and see that the middle is just LIFE! Yes, be kind. Perfect. I would only add, from Ross Gay's crow - “…take your head out of your ass and be glad.” Be kind, and be glad.
